J R Consumer Resources Inc. originally got its start in 1999. Randall Eaton, now President started out as a sales manager for a factory- built housing center in Washington State. Randall decided to write a housing guide titled; “How To Buy A Manufactured Home & Save Thousands.” The book combined buying tips with a comparison guide featuring the majority of housing manufacturers in the
United States.
What started out as a simple buying guide for the mobile/manufactured home industry became a best seller, out selling all other related housing publications combined. Now, in its fifth edition with tens of thousands of copies sold Randall became an industry expert.
Many purchasing the mobile/manufactured home book were also interested in modular housing. After numerous emails and requests for a modular home comparison guide, Randall and staff started researching modular home builders in the United States. In 2003 J R Consumer Resources published their second book, “Modular Home Buyers Guide.” It also became a best seller and has become the number one resource for modular homebuyers today.
The books filled a need, which was lacking in both industries. Now homebuyers could learn about home builders and see how they compared to each other with helpful buying tips. Because of the success of both books J R Consumer Resources has grown into a resource center for consumers today. Our specialty is uncovering the truth about a particular industry and reporting our findings with fair and balanced reviews.
Ironically many that purchased our housing guides were also interested in purchasing a recreational vehicle. A number of our readers contacted us over the years requesting that we put forth a rating guide for the industry. Randall and research staff began interviewing 98 percent of the RV manufacturers in North America. With thousands of hours of research and countless interviews, J R Consumer Resources is proud to have published two additional books rating the RV industry.
